        The 1400th anniversary of the monastery of Ivar (Holy Cross) and the 30th anniversary of the Enthronement of His Beatitude, the Patriarch of the Church of Georgia, Ilia II was celebrated in Tbilis, Georgia on the 12th through the16th of October 2007.     Representatives from orthodox churches throughout the world took part, as well as His Eminence, (ο Παναγιοτατος), Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew.

    On Sunday, April 22nd, numerous believers gathered in the new church of Saint George’s Cathedral in the city Fier.     The ceremony to present the degree was beautifully organized by the directors of the university and took place on March 20th, 2007.     On January 18, 2007 the City Council of Korça presented His Beatitude, Archbishop Anastasios, with the title of Honorary Citizen “for outstanding merits in the great resurrection of Orthodoxy, as well as for the raising of numerous religious institutions in the city of Korça.” It was celebrated with a ceremony organized by the City of Korca in cooperation with the Metropolis of Korça.
