On January 18, 2007 the City Council of Korça presented His Beatitude, Archbishop Anastasios, with the title of Honorary Citizen “for outstanding merits in the great resurrection of Orthodoxy, as well as for the raising of numerous religious institutions in the city of Korça.” It was celebrated with a ceremony organized by the City of Korca in cooperation with the Metropolis of Korça.
