In the church “Annunciation of Theotokos” in Tirana, on 22/01/2014, in the presence of the Holy Synod of the Orthodox Autocephalous Church of Albania, was celebrated in a panegyric way the Feast of St. Anastasios the Persian. Also in this day our Archbishop Anastasios celebrates his name day. Triple joy was in this special day.
During this liturgy, Archbishop Anastasios conducted the Service of Elevation of a Deacon for Stephan Ritsi, a missionary from the U.S., who had recently come with his wife, Alexandra, to contribute to our Church. While to Father Gjerasim Çakalli was bestowed the title” Stavroforos”, for his continuous contribution to the Monastery of St. Vlash, and to the Theological Academy, and recently to the ecclesiastical high school “Holy Cross”, in Sukth of Durrës.
After the Devine Liturgy, all the believers had the possibility to give their wishes to Archbishop Anastasios at the reception that took place in the hall of the spiritual activities, near the church.
