The feast of Theophany, among others, is also joyful. The believers enjoy Theophany, but also nature enjoys it, because by the sanctification of the waters, Christ was baptized for all of creation, that He himself created with the Father and the Holy Spirit. Therefore, in all the celebrations of this great feast, in the Divine Liturgy, the Service of the Sanctification of the Water and the traditional ritual of catching the cross in the water, it was celebrated with so much joy and bliss by thousands of believers who participated in these services. They have already become popular celebrations, and not just for the Christian believers.
In Tirana, the services were performed in the new “Resurrection of Christ” Cathedral and were led by Archbishop Anastasios, assisted by His Grace Nathaniel, His Grace Asti and other clergy.
In Durrës, after the Divine Liturgy and the service in the Church of the Apostle Paul and St. Asti, His Grace Nicholas made the traditional throwing of the cross in the waters of the Adriatic sea, in the port of the city.
