The weekly activities in the Kids’ Clubs of our Church began at the same time as the beginning of the academic year. Children from 6-13 years old have the possibility to participate in a program with the theme, “I’m a Citizen of the Kingdom of God”. In Tirana there are five functioning Kids’ Clubs which are located: in the complex of the New Cathedral “Resurrection of Christ”, in the environments of the Church “Evangelization of the Theotokos”, in the area named “Astir’, in Shkoza (in the Thabor Centre), and in Bathore. The children’s activity in all of these Kid’s Clubs started with a great joy from the children’s side, and with lots of commitment from the group that works in these clubs.

A great number of children come more and more each week to these activities.  Thus, at the new Cathedral every week there are 60 children, in Shkoza 65, in Bathore 80 children and in the area of Astir 60 children. At these centers there are also taking place meetings with teenagers and women. All of these activities are created in connection with the age of the participants and the types of programs offered in these centers are entertaining, educational and spiritual.

The children who had participated in previous years were quite happy for the resumption of the activities, as well as the children who came for the first time. New games, arts and crafts that was related to learning and to the overall theme of this year, songs, drama and what is most important – the spiritual food, made the participants pass some very pleasant hours.

Throughout the year children also participate in programs specially prepared for the great feasts of the Church, such as Christmas, Easter, Theophany etc. In such activities children have the opportunity to see some stories that are quite educational and beautifully dramatized, and to see puppetry addressing various topics etc.

There are about 25 young people dedicated to the preparation and continuing commitment for these activities to be performed in the best way, with the intention that the number of participants is to increase and be more productive.
