During the first week of Great Lent, the Orthodox Church celebrates the triumph of Orthodoxy. For this feast hundreds of believers from the capital city attended the Divine Liturgy held in the Church of “Evangelization of the Theotokos” in Tirana, headed by His Beatitude, Archbishop Anastasios. Among the many believers, numerous children and young people also attended who had gathered in Tirana for a youth activity.
    The Sunday of the Victory of Orthodoxy is symbolized by the triumph of the icons. The children were carrying icons during the litany procession and together with the clergy and believers were praying, chanting, and worshiping God.
    The Church formulated its tenets of faith through the Holy Synods of Bishops. The Church preserves the revelation of God. The Church is the truth of God; it is the pillar of this truth.
