In this section of our website Orthodox believers, and also the numerous visitors, will have the possibility to read, to see and to hear different materials whose aim are spiritual formation, growth in the knowledge of the Orthodox faith, and the appreciation of various prayers that empower the spiritual life. To the information that introduces the Orthodox faith are also added the lives of the saints that are well known to us and all of these are in the Albanian language.
The spiritual literature comes enriched by various excerpts books that have been published or from the latest translations that add theological knowledge to people interested in deepening their understanding of the Orthodox faith.
For the daily study of the Holy Scriptures, which is also one of the duties of every Orthodox believer, the translation of the full text of the New Testament, by the well known Orthodox translators, Konstantin Kristoforidhi, adapted in the Albanian language of today by Mr. Thoma Qendro, will also help. In the section on Prayers and Services, the visitors to this section will have the opportunity to download various prayers that are part of the personal prayer life of every person, or prayers that serve the Eucharistic gatherings of the community. In addition, our countryman who live outside of Albania will be able to have Orthodox prayers in the Albanian language, and can even use these prayers to teach their children, and to feel in this way closer to the Orthodox community and to their country.
In the Orthodox View section of this website there will be different texts from the Orthodox Hierarchs, fathers and recognized theologians which analyze various contemporary topics from the perspective of Orthodox spirituality. In this way the visitors to this web page of our Church will have an opportunity to consult and encounter the precious thoughts of diverse personalities of the Church on issues of mutual concern that affect their lives, under the light of the Gospel and in the Wisdom of the Fathers.
The new flow of audio visual materials will add a new dimension and occasionally provide a new way for messages, sermons, services and various activities of our Church to come directly to visitors who select the button “Audio-Video”. The audio transmissions from Radio “Ngjallja–Resurrection” (which broadcasts on FM 88.5 Mhz) of the Archbishop’s sermons, videos from various television shows or performances by the Media Group of the Church, and Church music will make communication more entertaining and will bring the word of God closer to visitors of www.orthodoxalbania.org
